Quality Assurance

Student tutor

Caring for the new generation of students is a very important aspect of improving the quality of studies. With this goal, support for students within the framework of a Student Tutor system is provided. The tutors are an altruistic group of students who, on a voluntary basis, set aside a part of their free time to make it easier for the new generations of students to find their way in the academia.

At the commencement of an Academic Year, each freshman is assigned a tutor from whom he or she can get all the necessary information and advice for a right start of his or her student life (from an information about the courses, the Bologna process and municipal transportation to all other information about a student lifestyle).

In addition to the freshmen, Student Tutors are also provided for the sophomore and senior undergraduate students, as well as for the first‐year graduate students.

The goal of the activity for the senior students is to support the new colleagues in a better adaptation to their studies and student life. The purpose of the work of Student Tutors is to improve communication and create trust and respect between the students and Faculty employees, as well as between the students themselves, with an aim of improving the quality of studying at the Faculty.

The activity allows the Student Tutors to help others with their advice, to develop their communication and organizational skills, and to meet new friends.

Concerning the Student Tutors themselves, their activity within the framework of this program is entered in the supplemental study document (i.e., in the Diploma Supplement) as an extracurricular activity.
