SUSTRA

Erasmus+ project Blended Sustainability Training for Livestock and  Animal Food Production (SUSTRA) No. 2023-1-HR01-KA220-VET-000156640 includes 7 partners from 5 countries (Croatia, Turkey, Serbia, Slovakia and Romania) who work together with the aim to:

  • contribute to EU targets on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, food safety and farm-to-fork strategy
  • increase the knowledge and skill levels of students and technicians by developing educational materials focused on sustainable livestock and food production.
  • prepare students for the job market in agricultural vocational high schools.
  • ensure the adaptation of the enterprises to the new conditions by providing sustainability specialist workforce to the enterprises

Duration of the project: 15/10/2023 – 14/10/2025

 

Professors of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek participated in the LLT meeting in Turkey as part of the Erasmus+ project SUSTRA

Representatives of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek actively participated in the LTT (Learning, Teaching, Training) meeting as part of the Erasmus+ project "Blended Sustainability Training for Livestock and Animal Food Production" (SUSTRA ).Members of the "SUSTRA" project team, prof. Ph.D. Zvonimir Steiner and associate professor Ph.D. Danijela Samac, participated in LTT activities that were held from October 8 to 10, 2024 in Bursa, Turkey. During this visit, the participants visited the dairy cow farm "Matli", where they got to know an example of sustainable primary agricultural production milk. On the second day, the partners held presentations of the teaching units of the new optional module to the students of "Agricultural Forestry School Vinkovci" (Croatia), Agricultural and Veterinary School "Tara Barsei" (Prežmer, Romania) and Agricultural School "Hamidiye" (Bursa, Turkey). On the last day, a visit to the agricultural school "Hamidiye" was organized, where the team members participated in the practical activities of the students, after which all the students presented their schools. This participation is a significant step towards achieving the goal of the SUSTRA project, especially in the exchange of knowledge and experience among international partners, which will contribute to the further development of sustainable agriculture and food production.
