FABSO Alumni Association

Welcome to the official website of the FABSO Alumni Association, an association of the alumni and friends of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek.

The association is a non‐profit legal entity established on 18 December 2012.

The goals of the Association are as follows:

• the preservation of tradition of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek and the promotion of reputation of the Faculty in the Republic of Croatia and abroad
• taking care of the development and progress of the Faculty
• building and strengthening the ties and cooperation between the Faculty alumni in order to achieve their permanent and mutual benefits and satisfy their interests
• the development of cooperation between the Faculty and companies or organizations with which the Faculty alumni are employed
• the improvement of activities, quality of studies, teaching processes, and scientific work at the Faculty
• the encouragement and improvement of professional, scientific, and practical activities of Association members
• assistance rendered to the Faculty in marketing and promotion activities
• assistance rendered to the potential students in selecting a study program and to the current students during their studies and later employment
• mutual assistance of members during training and employment
• the promotion of reputation of the agricultural engineering profession and nurture and affirmation of ethics of the engineering profession
• to exercise an influence on the creation of public professional and scientific opinion on all important issues of development in the professional and scientific fields of agriculture, ecology, and environmental protection
• to exercise an influence on the development and progress of knowledge about a necessity to preserve nature and human environment
• the improvement of connections between the experts and scientists
• the collection of donations and membership fees for the Faculty student scholarships, Faculty projects, and Association’s activities, together with the establishment of foundations
• the encouragement and establishment of connections and cooperation between the Faculty and similar educational, developmental, and research institutions in the Republic of Croatia and abroad, as well as the establishment and development of cooperation with similar associations in the Republic Croatia and beyond
• the publication of scientific, professional, and informative publications in the field of activity

We invite you to the regular and elective assembly of the Association of the alumni and friends of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek on Tuesday, 19 December 2023, at 3 p.m. (Lecture Room 159).

The following agenda is planned for the assembly session:

1. opening of the assembly and the election of Working Presidency
2. the appointment of Recording Secretary and of the notifiers of the minutes
3. a report of the President on the work of the Association
4. Treasurer’s report
5. discussion about the reports
6. the dismissal of previous Association bodies
7. the election of the President of the Association
8. the election of the Vice President of the Association
9. the election of the Board of Directors
10. the election of Supervisory Board
11. the election of Liquidator
12. the election of Secretary
13. the adoption of the Decision on Granting Authorization for Representation
14. the adoption of the Decision on the Initiation of a Procedure to Enter Amendments in the Register of Associations
15. any other business
