CEEPUS International Summer School: The Tradition and Agriculture of Slavonia
On the occasion of its sixtieth anniversary, the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek organized an International Summer School entitled The Tradition and Agriculture of Slavonia from 14 to 17 July 2020.
The International Summer School was organized through the CEEPUS Program, and the Faculty had an opportunity to host sixteen teachers and students from four partner institutions: the University of Rzeszów in Poland, the Banat University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine from Timisoara in Romania, the University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic, and the University of Debrecen in Hungary.
The participants had an opportunity to learn about the scientific and professional work of the Faculty, participate in a workshop on traditional soap making, visit the Faculty’s Experimental Site in Mandićevac and Tenja, participate in a traditional wheat harvesting, traditional grain milling, and bread baking. The participants also visited a stud farm in Đakovo and the Belje greenhouses, winery, and wine cellars.
With this Summer School and numerous outgoing and incoming mobilities, the Faculty confirmed its position as one of the most active institutions within the CEEPUS Program in Croatia.
