CEEPUS International Summer School: Smart Agriculture and the Environment

For the fourth consecutive year, the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek organized an International summer school from 3 to 7 July 2023, this time with a slightly different topic and title: Smart Agriculture and the Environment.

The International Summer School was organized within the CEEPUS Mobility Program, and the Faculty had an opportunity to host thirteen teachers, doctoral candidates, and students from six partner universities and five countries: the University of Mostar from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the University of Montenegro from Podgorica, the University of Szeged from Hungary, the University of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Skopje from North Macedonia, and the University of Novi Sad from Serbia.

The students and teachers had an opportunity to learn about the work of the Faculty and University, to present their universities and their activities, to participate in the lectures and workshops related to Digital Agriculture, and to take part in a thematic pub quiz. As a part of the Summer School, the participants had an opportunity to visit the Kopački rit Nature Park and learn about nature conservation and protection projects in the Park itself. In addition, the participants got acquainted with the activities of the Belje plus and visited the vineyards, winery, and wine cellar, where they had a chance to put themselves in a short‐term role of sommelier of the Baranja wines.
