CEEPUS international summer school "New challenges in contemporary livestock production"
The Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek organized an international summer school for the fifth year in a row from July 1 to 5, 2024, this time with some with a different topic and title: New challenges in contemporary animal production.
The international summer school was organized through the mobility program CEEPUS and the network Agriculture and Environment in the 21st Century - @groen, and the Faculty had the opportunity to host 8 teachers and students from three partner universities: the University of Ostrava from the Czech Republic, the University of Szeged from Hungary and the University of Maribor from Slovenia.
During five days, students and teachers had the opportunity to learn about the work of the Faculty and the University, present their universities and their activities, participate in lectures and workshops related to modern animal husbandry and take part in a thematic pub quiz.
In addition to lectures and workshops, school participants also had the opportunity to visit the State Lipizzaner Stud in Đakovo and learn something about the tradition of horse breeding in the oldest stud in Croatia.
