Administration

The Faculty’s administration consists of a Dean, five Vice Deans (Vice Dean for Teaching and Quality Management, Vice Dean for Science and Postgraduate Studies, Vice Dean for International Cooperation and Study Programs in English, Vice Dean for the Development of Experimental Sites and Technology Transfer, and Vice Dean for Business Organization and Investment Management), Secretary, and Head of the Department for Financial and Accounting Affairs.

The Dean represents the Faculty, is its principal, and has all rights and obligations pursuant to the University’s and Faculty’s Statutes.

The administartion of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek is based on the provisions of the Institutions Act, Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act, Statute of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, and the Statute of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek. The head of the institution is the Dean, who is elected by the Faculty Council for a four‐year mandate. In his work, the Dean is assisted by the Vice Deans and by the Faculty’s Secretary, who also represent the Faculty’s Administartion.

The Faculty’s Dean and the Vice Deans for the 2021–25 mandate are as follows:

  • Zvonko Antunović, PhD, Full Prof.—Vice Dean for Science and Postgraduate Studies
  • Ivana Majić, PhD, Full Prof.—Vice Dean for International Cooperation and Study Programs in English
  • Tomislav Vinković, PhD, Full Prof.—Vice Dean for the Development of Experimental Sites and Technology Transfer
  • Brigita Popović, PhD, Full Prof.—Vice Dean for Business Organization and Investment Management
  • Renata Meleš, LLM—Faculty’s Secretary

The Faculty’s Professional Collegium is an advisory body to the Dean, comprised of the Vice Deans, heads of departments, Secretary, and the Head of the Department for Financial and Accounting Affairs.

The Professional Collegium is convened by the Dean when necessary to discuss the following topics:

  • coordination and monitoring of the entire activity of the Faculty
  • operational improvement of the Faculty’s professional services
  • coordination of all business activities of the Faculty

The Dean may expand the composition of the Professional Collegium to also involve the heads of lower organizational units of the Faculty.
