Undergraduate professional studies

Studies

The undergraduate professional studies of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek last three years, i.e. six semesters, and are conducted on of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek. All undergraduate professional studies have 4 common modules during the 1st year of study. During the second year of study, in the third (III) and fourth (IV) semesters, there are two professional practice modules, while in the third year of study, during the fifth (V) and sixth (VI) semesters, there are three professional practice modules each. Upon completion of the undergraduate professional study, i.e. by passing the prescribed exams and the final paper, the student acquires 180 ECTS points and the professional title of bachelor engineer (baccalaureus/baccalaurea) engineer (abbreviation: bacc. ing. agr.).

The Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek conducts 2 undergraduate professional studies:

  1.     Undergraduate professional study Plant production, field of Agriculture (professional title bachelor's degree (baccalaureus/baccalaurea) engineer/herbiculture engineer)
  2.     Undergraduate professional study of Zootechnics (professional title Bachelor's degree (baccalaureus/baccalaurea) zootechnics engineer)

After the undergraduate professional studies, applicants can continue their studies at graduate professional studies at the polytechnics or at the graduate studies at the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek with passing additional exams. Also, professional bachelor's degree holders can continue to study at graduate studies at other universities in Croatia, in accordance with the prescribed enrollment conditions at the individual university and college.

The general goal of undergraduate professional studies is to provide students with a high academic standard education based on modern scientific knowledge in order to acquire modern knowledge in the field of agriculture, and the skills necessary for the application of technologies in the field of agriculture.
