Dear current and future students, partners, and friends of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek:
We are glad that you have visited our Faculty’s website and that you want to know more about it and our activities.
The Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek is the oldest and the argest faculty of the University of Osijek, and its tradition and results guarantee a high‐quality teaching and scientific and professional work.
The Faculty is recognized in the region and represents one of the leading educational institutions in the field of biotechnical sciences, with its high‐quality education in the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate university and undergraduate professional studies. The Faculty provides its students with knowledge and skills necessary for their involvement in various areas of agricultural production, as well as with knowledge and skills necessary for research work, in order to further advance production processes.
The Faculty’s scientific and professional cooperation is very intensive, and a large number of scientific projects, financed from various sources, are conducted at the Faculty, with domestic partner institutions and with partners from abroad. Professional cooperation with the partners from agroindustry, agricultural producers, and family farms is a major emphasis of Faculty’s activities. Through professional cooperation and a direct transfer of research results into practice, the Faculty intensively contributes to the development of agricultural production, with an accent on the application of the latest research results for the purpose of sustainable agricultural production and the achievement of supportable development.
Throughout its history, the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek has successfully overcome numerous challenges and has experienced a continuous development in all areas of activity. Based on the same principles, further progress is our challenge and a task for the future. It is certain that the Faculty’s employees, by virtue of their dedicated work, will contribute to the development of the faculty, to the well‐being of its students and partners, and to society as a whole.
