Studies

Graduate university studies at the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek last two years, or four semesters. The study program prescribes 10 compulsory modules in the first year, and professional practice, various elective modules, and a thesis in the second year of the graduate study. Upon completion of the graduate studies, i.e. passing the exams and defending the thesis, the student acquires 120 ECTS credits and the academic title of university master engineer with an indication of profession (abbreviation: univ. mag. ing. agr.).

The Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek conducts 7 graduate university studies:

    1. Graduate university study Agroeconomics

    2. Master's degree in Plant production      

          • Major Plant production       
          • Majoring in Plant Nutrition and Soil Science
          • Major Plant breeding and seed production
          • Major Plant Protection

    3. Graduate university study Ecological Agriculture

    4. Graduate university study Mechanization

    5. Graduate university study in Vegetable and Floriculture

    6. Graduate university study of fruit growing, viticulture and winemaking 

          • fruit growing major
          • Major Viticulture and winemaking

    7. Graduate university study in Zootechnics

          • Major of Nutrition of domestic animals
          • Major Hunting and beekeeping
          • Special zootechnics major

 

After graduation, applicants can continue their studies at one of the postgraduate doctoral studies at the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek, or related doctoral studies at the University of Osijek or elsewhere in Croatia and abroad.

The general goal of graduate university studies is to provide students with a high academic standard education based on modern scientific knowledge to acquire modern knowledge in the field of agriculture.
