The Department of Phytomedicine was founded in 1965 as the Department of Plant Protection. In 2018, it was renamed as the Department of Phytomedicine of the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek. There are four subdepartments. With regard to the scientific‐teaching positions, there are six tenured Full Professors, three Full Professors, two Associate Professors, three Assistant Professors, one postdoctoral student, and two Teaching Assistants, one of whom is engaged in a Croatian Science Foundation project. In the reporting period, in addition to a scientific‐research work on numerous projects, the Department’s employees have participated in the undergraduate, graduate university, and in the professional study programs, as well as in the scientific doctoral and specialist studies.

Four subdepartments have been established within the Department:

• Subdepartment of Stored‐Product Protection and Postharvest technology
